Privacy Policy

Effective 8 October 2026 · Applies to the Thakerni app for iPhone

Thakerni is a reminder and calendar app. This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.

In short: we use your information only to run your reminders and keep them in sync. We don't sell it, share it for advertising, or track you across other apps and websites.

Information we collect

What we don't collect

  • Voice recordings. When you speak a reminder, Apple's speech recognition turns it into text, on your iPhone when available. Thakerni never stores your audio.
  • Your location, contacts, photos or health data.
  • Advertising identifiers, analytics or tracking data. The app contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.

Where your data is stored

Tasks are saved on your iPhone first, protected by iOS data protection. When you're signed in, they're also stored with our cloud provider, Supabase, in its South Asia (Mumbai) region. Data travels encrypted (HTTPS/TLS), and our database only lets each account read and change its own records.

We work with these providers only to run the app:

  • Apple: Sign in with Apple and speech recognition.
  • Supabase: account, database and server functions.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your account and all your tasks are removed from our servers right away, and your Sign in with Apple link to Thakerni is revoked.

Your choices

  • Export your data: in the app, open Settings › Export my data.
  • Delete your account: open Settings › Account › Delete account.
  • Notifications and microphone: you can turn these on or off at any time in iPhone Settings › Thakerni.
  • Lock Screen privacy: Settings › Hide titles on Lock Screen hides task names in widgets.

Children

Thakerni isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's update notes.

Help with Thakerni

Reminders aren't arriving

  • Check that notifications are allowed: iPhone Settings › Thakerni › Notifications.
  • In the app, open Settings › Notifications › Send a test reminder, then lock your iPhone. You should see it within 5 seconds.
  • Check that a Focus mode isn't silencing Thakerni.
  • A task with only a date (no time) alerts at your all-day time, set in Settings › Notifications.

Speaking a reminder

  • Tap the microphone and speak naturally, for example “Remind me tomorrow at 5 PM to pick up my order”.
  • Choose the language you're speaking (العربية or English) under the text box.
  • If Thakerni asks “Morning or evening?”, tap the right time before saving.

Language

Open Settings › Language to switch between English and Arabic at any time.

Your account and data

  • Export everything: Settings › Export my data.
  • Delete your account and all data: Settings › Account › Delete account.
